WIN Neuroplastics Network
Neuroplastics is a collaborative network of three research groups at WIN with a shared interest in brain plasticity.
Basic Neuroscience
Our centre houses many research groups that aim to understand basic principles of brain structure and function. Our groups investigate a diverse range of brain processes including decision-making, plasticity, pain, vision, speech, and attention. We use a variety of approaches including imaging, brain stimulation and computational modelling.
To understand complex human behaviours requires us not only to relate behaviours to measurable properties of the brain but also to determine what underlies those measurements at the level of cell populations. Therefore, many of our basic neuroscience groups take a cross-scale or cross-species approach, using neuroimaging and other methodologies to build bridges between these levels of investigation.
