Are you a member of the public interested in contributing to win research?

Are you a WIN researcher interested in involving patients or other members of the public in your research process?

Please contact WIN's Public Engagement team (Carinne Piekema and Hanna Smyth) for 1:1 support. We encourage researchers to involve patients or other members of the public in at least one of the following stages:

  1. Suggesting topics for research
  2. Clarifying research questions
  3. Ensuring research methods are ethical
  4. Helping write patient information and consent forms
  5. Informing how researchers interpret study findings
  6. Communicating research findings to different audiences
  7. Being involved throughout to keep study focus on track
  8. Working with researchers to look back on how well the study went

(Thank you to Polly Kerr, PPI Manager for the University of Oxford's Primary Care Health Sciences department, for sharing the above list).
