Brain Health Advisory Group

We have a Brain Health Advisory Group that meets monthly with different researchers from our centre. This group provides a public and patient perspective on research proposals and draft research communications. Members were recruited via an open call on the NIHR Oxford BRC PPI opportunities platform and via referrals from our researchers.

This group launched on 4 March 2025 with an onboarding meeting. Their first monthly meeting with our researchers will be in April 2025.

The group currently consists of 10 people, with a variety of demographic and lived-experience backgrounds.

The group is facilitated by five of our staff and researchers who comprise our Patient & Public Involvement Working Group: Mel Fleming, Carinne Piekema, Lara Biller, Lucy Jobbins, and Hanna Smyth.
