PiNG Representation at BrainBox 2018

The BrainBox Initiative Conference 2018 took place in London on September 27-28th and a number of the Physiological Neuroimaging Group attended, presenting both posters, and delivering post-pitch talks.

Emily Hinson presented a poster entitled "Using NIBS and fMRI to study the role of ipsilateral M1 in motor leaning"

Caroline Nettekoven presented her poster: "Investigating the Effect of Anodal Transcranial Direct Current Stimulation to the Cerebellum on Visuomotor Adaptation"

Haya Akkad's poster "Improving motor learning via phase-amplitude coupled theta-gamma tACS" won the poster prize for the conference, earning her the chance to speak at the conference next year.  The poster prize was judged by Walter Paulus, Professor of Neurophysiology at the University of Göttingen.  Professor Paulus commended the work on it's large sample size, internal replication and methodological rigour.   We would like to extend our congratulations to Haya, and look forward to hearing her speak at next year's conference!

Additionally, Dr Maria Ironside, who completed her DPhil in Oxford supervised by Jacinta O'Shea was awarded the Young Investigator Award, for which we extend our warmest congratulations!
