Much of our clinical work is embedded within the two NIHR Biomedical Research Centres based in Oxford: NIHR Oxford BRC and NIHR Oxford Health BRC.

This enables us to ensure that our research is translated from bench to bedside.

A number of research groups in our centre tackle clinically relevant questions. Clinical areas of investigation include neurodegeneration, stroke, neuropsychiatry, chronic pain, intensive care, epilepsy and anaesthesia.

In collaboration with colleagues in analysis and physics we develop and apply novel neuroimaging measures to sensitively detect, predict and monitor disease.
