Titles of Full Professor are conferred annually in recognition of an individual's significant influence on their field of study, as well as their track records in teaching and academic citizenship.
Stuart Clare
Stuart Clare, Professor of Practice in Neuroimaging, is Director of Operations at the Oxford University Centre for Integrative Neuroimaging (OxCIN). He leads the core staff team at OxCIN, facilitating the broad range of basic and clinical neuroscience research that goes on in the Centre. Stuart is passionate about communicating research to the general public including work with schools, museums and patient groups. He also plays a leading role in the University’s work on career development and recognition of those in technical roles.
Laurence Hunt
Laurence Hunt, Professor of Cognitive Neuroscience, is Associate Director of the Oxford Centre for Integrative Neuroimaging and leads the Laboratory of Decision Dynamics at the Department of Experimental Psychology. His research focuses on a range of topics in cognitive computational neuroscience, with a particular focus on decision-making, information seeking and attention. He uses mathematical models that make precise predictions about behavioural and neural data. He tests these predictions using a range of techniques in both humans and animal models, and in collaboration with clinical colleagues aims to understand how they might be affected in neuropsychiatric disease.
Jacinta O'Shea
Jacinta O’Shea, Professor of Cognitive Neuroscience, is a Wellcome/Royal Society Sir Henry Dale Fellow at the Oxford Centre for Human Brain Activity, and leads the Translational NeuroStimulation Laboratory at the Department of Psychiatry. Her research interests include cognition, action and neurobehavioural plasticity - the ability of the brain to adapt and change. She uses neural interference methods, neuroimaging, and cognitive and behavioural techniques to look at how information processing is organised in the brain. She seeks to use these insights to advance treatments for individuals affected by psychiatric or neurological conditions.
