Research Associate in Preclinical Neuroimaging
PhD
I am a postdoctoral Research Associate working on Preclinical Neuroimaging at the WIN. My work focuses on Magnetic Resonance Spectroscopy (MRS) and Imaging (MRI) of rodent brain using the 7T Preclinical MR scanner at the Biomedical Science Building. By combining imaging, behavioural and molecular experiments, I am interested in understanding the mechanisms by which energy metabolism influences brain function and behaviour in models of psychiatric disorders.
During my PhD at EPFL (Switzerland) I worked on projects looking at the impact of environmental and genetic factors on brain energy metabolism and behaviour in animal models of mood disorders using ultra-high field neuroimaging at 14.1 Tesla.
