We are excited to invite you to a special half-day WIN event dedicated to data harmonisation on Friday 25th October 2024 (time – 9:45 to 13:30). This event will gather various WIN groups and close collaborators who are actively working to overcome the challenges of harmonising imaging data across different studies. The event will feature a mix of short talks, discussions, and informal chats, with the option to attend in person in the Cowey rooms (WIN@FMRIB Annexe Building, University of Oxford) or to join online (See the full programme below). Don’t miss this opportunity to connect with experts and peers and contribute to advancing data harmonisation in imaging research.

Why Attend?

Imaging-derived measurements often vary significantly across studies, making direct comparisons challenging. Harmonisation seeks to eliminate these discrepancies, allowing for the pooling of data from diverse studies, enabling larger datasets, and facilitating reliable comparisons with reference populations. Ultimately, harmonisation can play a key role in improving clinical decision-making.

What to Expect?

    • Learn how different groups are tackling harmonisation from perspectives including physics, analysis, computer science, and statistics.
    • Participate in discussions and informal chats that explore innovative solutions and new approaches to harmonisation.
    • For those already working in the field, this event offers a chance to brainstorm ideas, explore potential collaborations, and establish a "Harmonisation Working Group" for ongoing efforts.

Who Should Attend?

This event is tailored for the general WIN audience, including those new to the topic of harmonisation. Whether you are looking to gain a foundational understanding or are interested in applying harmonisation techniques in your projects, this event is for you.
