Strategic Plans & Working Groups
WIN is committed to achieving positive culture change in academic research. We are developing a long-term strategic plan to promote equality and diversity within WIN and the broader academic environment.
In 2019-20, focused on the LGBTI+ community. We created an information toolkit on LGBTI+ issues in the academic workplace; promoted visibility through role models, seminars and social media; and trained WIN members on active allyship. We priorities sustainability, and will continue these activities beyond 2020.
In 2020-21, we will focus on culture change related to wellness and mental health in academia.
In 2021-22, we will launch a programme to promote and support and understand racial & ethnic diversity in WIN as an academic workplace.
