RuoHan is a Clinical Neuroscience student under the supervision of Pr Ben Seymour and Pr Tim Denison from IBME. Having done her undergraduate degree on Bsc Biomedical sciences in University college London with Pr Patrick Haggard (Action and Volition lab), she has been looking to apply the knowledge of neuroimaging techniques she used to study Voluntary actions, to the research of pain processing.
Furthermore, as sports such as mountain climbing and Triathlon are a crucial component of her daily life, she has developed some particular interests in sports injury-related pain. The potential research project for her Masters is regarding the unique phenomenon of how some types of pain can bring people a sense of reward and satisfaction because is is potentially associated with progress and effectiveness.
