Nicky Aikin

BAppSc PGDip

Research Radiographer

Nicky has joined us from the west of Scotland where she was working as locum MRI radiographer, most recently at the Royal Inverclyde Hospital. Nicky trained in Wellington, New Zealand as a general radiographer before moving to Auckland to work at Middlemore Hospital. Middlemore is a large, tertiary hospital, with the busiest mixed (adult and paediatric) emergency department in Australasia. Here, Nicky benefited from a varied and challenging range of clinical work before settling with magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) as a specialist modality, and completing a post-graduate diploma in health science (MRI) at the University of Auckland.

Moving to Oxford and to OHBA is Nicky's first experience in the world of research radiography, and so far she is enjoying the change and challenge.
