Postdoctoral Researcher in Advanced Image Analysis and Machine Learning for Brain Imaging
I am a postdoctoral researcher working in the analysis group at WIN (FMRIB). My research focuses on the development of methods and tools for the analysis of large biomedical datasets.
Currently I am working on the construction of multimodal population templates, conditional (e.g. age-dependent) templates, and templates for specific sub-groups representing average brain shape, size and intensity in an unbiased way.
I have also been developing methods for the segmentation of brain regions and pathology, and the estimation of imaging-derived phenotypes providing relevant local and global measures from structural and diffusion MRI.
My work uses machine and deep learning methods and is applied to large datasets including the UK Biobank and the Human Connectome Project.
Previously I have also developed tools for the analysis of musculoskeletal and hyperpolarised lung MRI, and images acquired with a low-field upright MR scanner.
