Postdoctoral Research Associate
I am a Postdoctoral Research Associate supervised by Kia Nobre, and I am funded by the German Research Foundation.
I am interested in the temporal dynamics of auditory attention in both uni-modal and cross-modal contexts where visual and auditory stimuli have to be integrated. In particular, I investigate the role of neural oscillations in temporal processing of rhythmic streams. In addition, I am interested in the interplay between attention, temporal expectations, and other cognitive processes such as memory. I use behavioural methods, EEG and MEG to study the neural processes underlying dynamic attending.
I completed a BSc in Psychology at the University of Salzburg and a MSc in Neurocognitive Psychology at the University of Oldenburg. Prior to joining the Brain and Cognition Lab, I completed my PhD thesis entitled “Temporal dynamics of uni-modal and cross-modal entrainment in the human auditory cortex” at the University of Oldenburg under the supervision of Stefan Debener.
