Configuring FortiClient on macOS 13+

Initial Installation

To get started, download 'FortiClient 7.0 VPN-Only' from -

Once downloaded, double click on 'FortiClientVPNOnlineInstaller_7.0.dmg' to open the installer container and run the within. This will download the required components and when finished, click the Launch button to begin the next phase of the installation. This download step can take some time and even fails from time to time. 

When/if prompted Allow the FortiTray VPN Configuration addition.

FortiClient should now install and a FortiClient icon should be visible at the top-right of the screen.  Click the icon and 'Open FortiClient Console'.

Accept the licence agreement and then choose the 'Configure VPN' option.

In the next window ensure that 'SSL-VPN' is selected, enter a Connection Name of your choice then enter

into the Remote Gateway field. Leave the remaining fields with their default values.

Click 'Save'.
