DPhil Student Emily wins award at the annual Thomas Willis Day

Emily wins NDCN Public Engagement Award

DPhil student Emily Hinson has been jointly awarded the NDCN Public Engagement Award at the annual Thomas Willis Day for her work on the WIN’s ‘Fairground Brains’ and ‘A WINdow on the Brain’ activities.  Emily was involved in the organisation and planning as well as interacting with the public during the events.

The award was given jointly with Tom Smejka (a Research Assistant within the Plasticity Group) and Mike Sanders (Senior Research Radiographer).

The prize recognises members of the Nuffield Department of Clinical Neurosciences who have made an exceptional contribution to promoting the work of the Department through public engagement in 2017/8.
