Tereza Ruzickova
DPhil Student
I am a DPhil student in the Psychopharmacology and Emotion Research Lab, supervised by Professor Catherine Harmer and Dr Susannah Murphy.
I am interested in the neurocognitive mechanisms of antidepressant treatment, with specific interest in how drug efficacy may interact with the patient's environment, particularly their social interactions. My research examines behavioural interventions and their combination with antidepressants, and how these interventions affect emotional attention, memory and mood. This could improve our understanding of how antidepressants impact affective learning under different environmental conditions and whether this may help predict treatment success.
I also have a keen interest in mental health stigma and I have been involved in both research and non-profit work to improve mental health awareness in the Czech Republic, my home country.
I previously completed my Bachelor of Arts in Experimental Psychology at Oxford.
