Matthias Schurz
Erwin-Schrödinger Postdoctoral Fellow
I am currently working as an Erwin-Schrödinger Postdoctoral Fellow at the Department of Experimental Psychology (sponsored by the Austrian Science Fund), using functional and structural MRI to study human social cognition and Theory of Mind. Currently, my main interest lies in understanding how fMRI activity for different mentalizing tasks is related to structural brain connectivity.
Before that, I did a PhD and my first Post-Doc at the University of Salzburg, Austria. During my Post-Doc work under the supervision of Josef Perner, I specialized on the neurocognitive basis of human Theory of Mind by using brain imaging methods, with a focus on functional MRI.
For my current project I am working in the lab of Jerome Sallet, and I am collaborating with Rogier Mars. For more details, CV and full publication list please visit my personal homepage.
