I am a junior PI at the Wellcome Centre for Integrative Neuroimaging (WIN). My research aims to understand the brain mechanisms underlying motivation and decision-making. I am particularly interested in the role played by neuromodulators, especially the serotonin system, commonly targeted by psychiatric drugs. I use a multidisciplinary approach combining cell-type-specific tools, non-invasive whole-brain functional MRI, and well-controlled behavioural tasks in rodents to study these systems at different scales and facilitate translation across species.
