Enikő Zsoldos

BSc (hons) MSc (Glas) DPhil (Oxon)

Postdoctoral Researcher

My research focuses on the ageing brain. I use large-scale longitudinal health measures to predict magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) markers, and associated cognitive function and mental health in older age.

After graduating in psychology and methods of psychological research in Glasgow, I led the 5-year MRC-funded study, "Predicting MRI abnormalities with longitudinal data of the Whitehall II Substudy". This involved recruiting a random sample of 800 Whitehall II study participants at University College London, and neuropsychological testing and imaging them at the FMRIB Centre in Oxford.

Having simultaneously completed my DPhil on life-long measures of stress and brain changes in participants at the Whitehall II Imaging Sub-study, I now work in the Neurobiology of Ageing group as postdoctoral researcher on the Horizon 2020 funded Lifebrain project, which combines 11 imaging cohorts from 7 European countries to understand the societal challenges to a healthy brain and mind across the lifespan.

As an advanced MRI scanner operator, I provide cover out of hours at the WIN.
