My Connections

Research interests

My research investigates the neural mechanism underlying social cognition and action control, including emotional embodiment, interoception and motor inhibition. I am particularly interested in how different brain areas within the pre-motor and motor cortex coordinate and mutually interact in understanding social and affective signals from others. My current project focuses on the mechanisms that are involved in control of own actions. To perform my research, I employ a variety of techniques including high-density electrophysiological recording techniques (EEG/ERPs), magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), interventional techniques (TMS/tDCS) and behavioural measures as indexes of cognitive processes.
