Michael Mosley using Non-Invasive Brain Stimulation
Dr Michael Mosley (Trust Me I'm A Doctor - BBC Two) tries tDCS

We use transcranial magnetic stimulation (TMS), transcranial direct current stimulation (tDCS) and transcranial alternating current stimulation (tACS), both as tools to understand the neurophysiology of motor learning and as potential adjunct therapies in chronic stroke.

In a recent study we demonstrated that tDCS is capable of improving motor performance in patients with chronic stroke for a relatively short period of time, and that this improvement is related to increase in movement-related activity within the ipsilesional primary motor cortex.
