I'm leaving OxCIN, what should I do?
Reach out to us for a leavers' checklist
First of all, please tell us: admin@oxcin.ox.ac.uk. We'll send you a checklist with all the steps you need to take.
Some of the main things you'll need to do are clearing out your desk, making sure all your data (both electronic and paper consent forms etc.) is appropriately archived and accessible to your supervisor, and completing the check-out procedure of your department.
If you're completely leaving the University (i.e. no honorary contract, remote working to finish papers etc.) then you'll need to hand in your University card to us via reception. Please email IT or your supervisor's research coordinator to close your IT account. You'll also have to ensure that your end date is correct in the OxCIN registration system so that you don't receive any unwanted emails from our mailing lists. On your last day please hand in your card, IT equipment, paperwork and anything that has been borrowed from us at reception.
If you have arranged to have continued remote access to your IT account, please request an Academic Visitor Agreement from your department's HR office. The admin team can help you navigate this process.
Finally, please supply us with a personal email so if we need to contact you, e.g. if we find any items or data belonging to you, we can.
